The Practice administrator is responsible for the overall management, operations, and development of the medical practices of District Medical Group (DMG).  Oversight of the following areas are included in this responsibility:  budgeting, billing, recruiting, staff management, staff development and supervision, patient relations, regulatory awareness, and compliance.  Also, oversite of critical clinic operations and administrative functions including, patient flow, access to care, scheduling, patient accounting, complaint resolution, financial controls, and material supply ordering.


What You Will Do:

  • Directs the daily operations of multiple DMG clinics.
  • Models, educates and empowers clinic managers and clinical and administrative staff to perform their jobs in a manner that exemplifies DMG’s values of delivering high quality care in a compassionate, respectful, and responsive way.
  • Ensure there is an effective program of staff development and training in place at all times.
  • Maintain licensure for all clinics and ensure each clinic remains survey-ready at all times.
  • Oversee the financial affairs of the clinics  including monitoring revenues and expenses; key revenue cycle performance indicators, provider productivity; timely, accurate payables management, payroll, materials and supplies inventory management, and active financial controls auditing.
  • Prepare a monthly analysis of operational and financial performance;  focus on variation from budget/projections and indications of trends.  Develop corrective recommendations and action plans for problem areas.
  • Prepare and disseminate to clinic employees dashboard reports that provide key performance indicator information that is actionable by clinic providers and staff.
  • Assure appropriate policies and procedures are in place to support quality and efficient patient care and patient safety.   
  • Assist with recruitment of providers and staff including initiation of the hiring process with Human Resources, participation in interviews, and advancing arrangements once a new hire is committed.
  • Assist with contract analysis and negotiation strategy, specifically by accurately projecting the impact of business terms on the overall financial performance of the clinic, and/or individual providers or specialists.
  • Monitor contract compliance and report concerns to the Sr. Director of Division Administration, Medical Director, CFO and/or  CEO.
  • Maintain regular communication with organizational and/or clinic leadership, providers, and staff regarding matters of clinical operations, financial assessments, compensation, policies or procedures, and contractual obligations.
  • May serve on various policy-making committees.
  • Maintain compliance with all company, state and CMS policies and procedures.


  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business administration
  • Master’s degree preferred


  • 5+ year experience in healthcare administration
